Master of Modernism
German-American architect is one of the pioneers of the modernist movement, devising in a paper sketch the world's first glass skyscraper and practically inventing open-plan spaces.
The Bauhaus director was one of the world's best-known architects. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, simply Mies to the entire world of design, is one of architecture's most towering figures.
Timeless Elegance
Cantilever Chair S 533
Technology becomes furniture; a striking invention becomes an elegant interior design object. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was the first to provide the cantilever chair with aesthetic lightness and to relate it to its environment with curved lines.
From Bauhaus to modernity
Nesting Tables
The Nesting Tables by Josef Albers, a designer represented in MoMA's collection, are considered groundbreaking for their incorporation of pure and vibrant colors in furniture design. As a result of his background as a carpenter and contractor, Albers prized great craftsmanship, and he designed these functional and elegant tables with meticulous and rich simplicity.

Bauhaus Lamp Wagenfeld
The magic of frozen light
Professor Wilhelm Wagenfeld was fascinated by "the magic of frozen light". What he meant by this is shown by the dome of his timelessly elegant table lamp. The Wagenfeld lamp, which has won several awards, was designed in 1924 by the then 24-year-old Bauhaus journeyman in the workshop of the Weimar Bauhaus. It follows the design principle "form follows function" and is considered an icon of modern industrial design. As an outstanding example of modern product design, it was included in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
"To be useful is to be beautiful"
Wilhelm Wagenfeld
One of the most important German product designers, inventor of the famous Bauhaus lamp and many other beautiful things. A wonderful person who liked to pass on his knowledge. One of his first designs became his most famous: a simple shade made of opal glass, the shaft made of nickel-plated steel - Wagenfeld's Bauhaus lamp WA24 is one of the design icons.
The CUBELIGHTmove is oriented on the Bauhaus school of architecture and enables an infinite number of geometric design possibilities and colour combinations. The clear and reduced design creates a timeless appearance, which is underlined by the classic materials used, glass and stainless steel.

CLASSICS OF ITS GENRE
form follows function
Form and completion of each figure are subject to the dictum of function. The figures harmonize with the playing surface, the chessboard, since they do not form a playful contrast, but rather find their way stringently into the symmetry.
The Bauhaus chess of workshop master represents a embodies of the Bauhaus idea not only because of its appearance. It even contains a message.
490,00 €
Josef Hartwig
Bauhaus Chess
What is imperceptibly special about this chess game is its simplicity. No ornaments lend the individual pieces a haptic that radically turns away from what has so far characterized the design of Bauhaus Chess figures.
The striving for clarity and simplification in favour of the recipient is therefore evident in the Bauhaus chess as in hardly any other object of utility art.
ALMA SIEDHOFF-BUSCHER
Bauhaus Bauspiel
In connection with the major Bauhaus exhibition of 1923, Alma Siedhoff-Buscher designed the furnishings of the children's room in the prototype Am Horn house and participated in Ludwig Hirschfeld-Mack's 'Colour-Light Games'. She also created various children's toys such as the 'Small Ship-Building Game' and a puppet theatre.

The principle of "less is more" is particularly evident in this wooden construction game. The timeless classic offers the player almost unlimited possibilities to train his creativity and lend wings to his imagination.
